James Halton (born 1998, Alexandria) is a fine-art photographer specialising in alternative and traditional photographic processes. He studied BA (Hons) Photography at Plymouth College of Art from 2017 to 2020.

His work aims to explore the human condition with regards to the delicate yet potent themes of memory, nostalgia, and longing.

Recently, James has been exploring the archives of family photography and has thus created For Sara, a poignant and emotional piece of work in the form of a photobook and a short film exploring family and loss.
